What are Varicose Veins?

ClariVein® can be used to treat these large, bulging veins. Varicose veins usually appear on the legs and feet, and they can be quite painful in addition to detracting from your appearance. Women especially are plagued by these veins, and they can make a person feel self-conscious when wearing shorts or a dress. A minimally invasive treatment may be the best option for addresses these problem veins.

What Sets ClariVein® Apart?

ClariVein® is like many endovenous treatments, but it does have one key difference. Most available options use one method to treat the problem veins, whether that’s medical adhesive, sclerosant, or heat. ClariVein®, on the other hand, uses two methods for optimal results. This is why it is sometimes referred to as a hybrid treatment.

The device features a tip that rotates 360 degrees to achieve axial vein ablation. While the device rotates within the vein, a sclerosant solution (similar to what is injected during sclerotherapy) is released into the vein. The rotating tip of the catheter actually removes the cellular lining of the vein while the sclerosant is injected, which means you can achieve much better results than with a one-method treatment.

Who is a Good Candidate?

Some vein treatments require lidocaine in order to help keep you comfortable, but ClariVein® does not. That means if you are allergic to lidocaine, you may be a good candidate for this treatment. Our doctor will perform an exam on your veins to determine whether they can be treated with ClariVein®, which is why it is important that you come in for a consultation.
